EWC’s Little Big Handbook of Democracy aims to give young people a tool with concrete and tangible  advice and tips that would facilitate effective education for democratic culture and human rights.

The handbook “31 Basic Activities” is a resource for all who work in the field of inclusion. It addresses the challenges of receiving students with refugee background in schools, and is developed for educators and professionals in the field.

The brochure for children explores the principles of human rights and democracy, what we can all do to make them possible, and how education can be of help.

This manual was developed using principles of peer education, to enable young people between the ages of 15 – 25 to teach other young people about human rights. It is designed to be a basic introduction, with age-specific activities for younger and older children. The approach stresses the practical rather than theoretical.

The 2012 revised version of “COMPASS – Manual for Human Rights Education with Young People” provides youth leaders, teachers and facilitators of human rights education activities, whether professional or volunteers, with concrete ideas and practical activities to engage, involve and motivate young people in living, learning and acting for human rights.
