Culture of Democracy Through the Visual Art Preschool Education

The module is aimed for students-future teachers to provide them with didactic strategies that implement contemporary cultural values and decision-making skills for implementation of democratic thinking and behaviour to real life by its integration in visual art education for pre-schoolers.

In each of the 12 created sessions one of the key concepts of EDC/HRE is accompanied with visual art content – visual art language and visual art techniques.

The module also introduces Reference Framework on Competences for Democratic Culture (RFCDC) to enable students – future teachers to identify and evaluate democratic level shown in the preschool children`s behavior and visual art expressions. In this way it enables students to realize tactical and strategic requests that can be formed by their initiatives, strategies, design and conducting of educational and upbringing activities in reaching culture of democracy in early age.
