Today, Utøya carries a strong testimony of why values such as tolerance, equality and diversity cannot be taken for granted. It serves as a powerful example of young people’s response and resilience to terrorism and violence.
Since 2015, the EWC and Utøya have worked together to develop Utøya as a place for learning activities. In our teacher trainings we build on our experiences to strengthen the competences of teachers to use different places for learning in their practice.
