Elizabeth Kasa-Malksoo

Elizabeth KASA-MĂ„LKSOO works as freelance trainer in designing and delivering trainings across the world in topics related to human rights, democracy, interculturality, youth participation. She is member of the Council of Europe's Youth Trainers Pool since 2000 and also delivers international trainings within the EU Erasmus+ Programme. She is Director of the Master Programme in International Law and Human Rights at the University of Tartu's School of Law and works as Human Rights Education Coordinator at the Estonian Institute of Human Rights. Elizabeth is passionate about working with young people around issues connected with democracy, human rights, youth participation. She often works with schools and is the founder of the Human Rights Respecting Schools Network in Estonia. One of her latest project initiatives in cooperation with the European Wergeland Centre is connected with the Baltic Summer Academy for democracy and human rights, which is implemented by rotation by the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian Ministries of Education.
