During the school year 2019-2020, 18 Gymnasiums of Northern and Southern Greece participated in our program, in which ‘Reception Classes’ operate. The aim of the program is for up to 150 Secondary Schools with ‘Reception Classes’ to participate by the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
As part of its participation in the program, each school will design an action plan tailored to its specific educational and operational needs. For the implementation of this action plan the school community will be continuously supported and mentored by the designated trainer and the head trainers of the program. Alongside with the completion of the program, a broad school network will be established throughout Greece representing the fundamental values of a democratic school culture, where each member of the school community, and especially refugee children will feel welcome in a safe and inclusive learning environment where quality education will be offered to all.
