The European Wergeland Centre is part of the Network of Norwegian Peace and Human Rights Centres.
The institutions which constitute the network are EWC, the Rafto Foundation, the Narvik War and Peace Center, the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue, the Falstad Centre, the Center for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities and the Arkivet Foundation. The institutions all receive financial support through the state budget.
There are two annual directors’ meetings to discuss issues of common interest, update on each other’s activities and explore further collaboration. In addition, the institutions collaborate on joint participation and presentations at the annual Arendal Week in August.
Besides the networking, EWC cooperates directly with several of the centres, either in specific programmes, such as Rafto Foundation in 22 July and Democratic Citizenship, or through trainings or consultations upon request.
