“31 Basic Activities”: use, possibilities and examples (part 4)

On Friday 15 December 2023 the fourth part of the online training for the practical implementation and use of the Handbook “31 Basic Activities” took place facilitated by Gelly Aroni, Angelos Vallianatos, Marios Koukounaras Liagis and Iro Potamousi.

During the training, the participants had the opportunity to understand the potential of the Handbook and to participate in an active listening exercise, in which they were asked to develop arguments and counter-arguments on issues that arouse strong emotions and cause a difference of opinion. The ultimate aim of this theoretical and practical approach is to encourage the participating teachers/educators to implement the key activities in their classrooms, responding to the needs and expectations of their learning environments.

The “31 Basic Activities” Handbook was compiled as a practical tool to equip Europe’s school communities with the necessary tools in order to support them foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for refugee students.

The online training series on the practical implementation and use of the “31 Basic Activities” Handbook, directly addresses to primary and secondary school teachers, including school principals, as well as all educators of non formal education and professionals in the field of refugee education.

This Handbook  was designed by the team of head trainers, Angelos Vallianatos, Gelly Aroni, Marios Koukounaras-Liagis and Iro Potamousi, with significant input from the team of project regional trainers and edited by the EWC team.
